Tahiti was produced in Gustavsberg, Sweden for a very short period of time in 1971. Both form design and decoration design were done by Stig Lindberg for this series.

The Tahiti series features five brightly colored flowers. The bold and glossy design, like a Gauguin painting, was not well received in Sweden at the time of its release, and it was only manufactured for a very short period of time. The design has since been reevaluated, and the limited number of pieces produced has made the series so popular that it is now sold at high prices at auctions as well as in Sweden.

Many of the pieces have faded, mainly due to the manufacturing process, making them one of the hard-to-find items in good condition.
